Barb's Drunk..'in Sauce
Cooking can sometimes be overwhelming, and a lot of us resort to the same recipes that we know we can execute weekly. Here's a great EASY sauce recipe to get you ready to mix up your repertoire just in time for fall to show up. Warning: not low in carbs, sugar, or whatever you're looking for; just tasty and delicious enough to impress your friends and family or treat people at a tailgate party. Definitely good for a cheat meal, it's tipsy and tasty.
3 tablespoons ketchup
2 tablespoons brown sugar
3/4 cup beer (non-alcoholic beer will do if you must)
Wisk ingredients together and pour over your meat of choice. Sauce can be applied to pork chops, pork roast, or beef roast. Get that meat nice and drunk in time for dinner.
Feel free to mix up your beers! Barb used Coors Light on pork chops, and a variation of porter and corona for beef roast.
In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat; brown chops on both sides. Pour sauce over the browned chops and bring to a boil. Let simmer until meat is fully cooked.
Pork or Beef Roast:
Place Roast in a crock pot, roaster, or my favorite the Pampered Chef Deep Covered Baker.
Cover with the delicious sauce and bake in a 350 degree for at least two hours or in a crock pot all day on low.
While the meat is cooking, baste with the drunk’in sauce.
Serve with your favorite carb and salad.
