Baked Doughnut Holes

Who doesn’t love doughnuts? Here’s an awesome recipe for some incredibly tasty doughnuts holes. Be careful though, it’s hard to not have too many!

Baked Doughnut Holes

Yields: 3 dozen


  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

  • 2 tablespoons butter

  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

  • 1 egg

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

  • 2/3 cup almond milk

  • 2 cups gluten free flour (Bob’s Redmill is our fave!)

  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

  • 1 tablespoon baking powder


  • 1 1/2 tablespoons melted butter

  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar


  1. Preheat oven to 400.

  2. Prepare doughnut hole or mini muffin pan with non-stick spray.

  3. Mix the sugars, butter, oil, and egg together. Whisk in vanilla and milk.

  4. Slowly combine in remaining dry ingredients.

  5. Fill tins 2/3 with batter.

  6. Bake 10-12 minutes

  7. Let cool and then pour melted butter over doughnut holes in a separate bowl or gallon-sized plastic bag.

  8. Pour sugar and cinnamon for coating in bowl or plastic bag and shake or mix until the doughnut holes are coated.

  9. Place on skewers with strawberries and blueberries or display in a brown paper cone for some added cuteness.
